Frequently asked questions

Honest answers, in fewer words than usual.

Four chapters: the cake, the delivery, the money and the ethics. Don't see your question, mail info@coldcake.be. A human reads it.

About the cake itself

How fresh is the cake?

Baked on the morning of delivery by a vetted Belgian bakery. We deliver it in person the same day.

Can you handle nut, milk or gluten allergies?

Yes. At checkout you flag what to avoid: nuts, milk, gluten, eggs, soy, sesame. If you don't know your prospect's allergies, choose "Ask the prospect" — we mail them one line before the bakery starts. Already running a campaign? Note it on the monthly form. Please note: gluten-free and lactose-free are on request, not standard. See allergens for the terms.

What sizes do you offer?

Medium (8-12), Large (16-20) and Extra Large (24-30). Medium is the default; for a single recipient, Medium is enough. Round by default, rectangular on request: about 15% more than round.

Can I print my logo on the cake?

Yes, on every cake and in every campaign. Your logo, your message and the QR code go on the cake itself in edible ink. No separate card is included.

What is edible ink?

Food-safe ink on an edible interlayer, not directly on the cake itself. Fully edible, tastes neutral, gets eaten along with the cake.

How it gets there

Where do you deliver?

Belgium only. Flanders and Brussels as standard. Walloon Brabant and Wallonia on request: we confirm per order within 24 hours whether we can deliver.

How fast can you deliver?

48 hours is the minimum lead time, so you order at least two days ahead. You then choose the delivery date yourself in the builder, as far ahead as you like.

What if my prospect isn't there?

We make up to 2 delivery attempts, on different working days. If the office is closed or reception refuses it, we leave a receipt-style "not delivered" notice and call you the same working day. If we can't deliver, you don't pay.

How do I know the cake arrived?

Photo proof from our own courier lands in your inbox right after delivery, from the same person who delivers the cake. There's also a QR code on the cake: if the recipient scans it with their phone, you get a separate notification. Two signals, two moments.

The money story

What VAT rate applies?

6%, the reduced Belgian rate on pastry. We show prices incl. VAT on the public site. B2B invoices split: 6% on the cake, 21% on services or non-food.

How does the campaign work?

You choose a tier (5, 10, 50 or 100+ cakes per month). On the 1st of each month we send a form: which cakes go where this month? You fill it in once, we deliver all month. No invoice per cake.

Can I cancel?

All campaigns are cancellable monthly, no lock-in. You pay per month in advance, and the next cycle stops as soon as you cancel in your account portal.

Do you offer discounts?

No. Discount codes devalue the craft of the package. No friends-and-family codes, no Black Friday, no loyalty rewards.

What's your refund policy?

100% back if not delivered. We don't refund based on whether the prospect replied — we deliver the cake, they choose whether to respond. That's the deal.

What do I get for my bookkeeping?

A B2B invoice per order, made out to your company, with the VAT amount listed separately. How that expense is treated depends on your own situation. ColdCake does not give tax advice, ask your accountant.

Can I cancel a scheduled delivery?

Free up to 48 hours before delivery. After that you can reschedule or arrange pickup.

The grown-up questions

What's actually in a ColdCake?

Real ingredients from a real Antwerp bakery. Request the full ingredients and allergen list per flavour via info@coldcake.be, we send it the same working day. The fourteen EU allergens are also on the allergens page.

Isn't this just a fancy bribe?

No. The sender's logo is on the cake itself, along with who is sending it and why. The QR code leads to the same information and to an address to reply to. Delivery is to a work address, never to a home address. Nobody is misled.

What about GDPR?

The QR code on the cake leads to a page showing who sent the cake and why, with an address to reply to. If the recipient wants no further contact, one message to info@coldcake.be is enough and we take them off the list. At checkout you confirm you have a lawful basis to send your prospect a package at their work address. We log opt-outs and hand them back to you.

Who's behind ColdCake?

Mytouka Enterprise, registered in Antwerp (KBO 1027149628). One founder. We work with one local Antwerp bakery partner (FASFC-registered). FASFC registration as an operator: pending. Liability insurance: quotes requested from Belgian insurers.
