About the cake itself
How fresh is the cake?
Baked on the morning of delivery by a vetted Belgian bakery. We deliver it personally on the same day.
Can you accommodate nut, dairy, or gluten allergies?
Yes. At checkout, you flag what to avoid. If you don't know your prospect's allergies, choose "Ask the prospect," and we'll email them a single line before baking.
What sizes do you offer?
Small (4-6), Medium (8-12), Large (16-20) and Extra Large (24-30). Standard round, rectangular on request (+15%).
Can I print my logo on the cake?
Custom card branding is included in Tier 03 (Scale) and Tier 04 (Custom). For Starter and Growth, the cake is brand-neutral and the message goes on the card.
What if the recipient has an allergy?
We have gluten-free, lactose-free, and nut-free options. Please indicate this on the monthly form.
What size fits my receiver?
S = 4-6 people, M = 8-12 (default), L = 16-20, XL = 24-30. For a solo CMO, S or M is sufficient.
What is edible ink?
Food-grade ink on rice paper or fondant. Completely edible, neutral taste, eaten along with the cake.
How did it get there
Where do you deliver?
Initially, only the city of Antwerp (postcodes 2000-2018). Brussels, Ghent and Mechelen are on the roadmap once volume is stable.
How fast can you deliver?
48-hour minimum lead time on standard flavors, 72 hours on premium flavors (Oreo, KitKat, M&M's). Same-day requests, please ask, we don't always say no.
What if my prospect isn't there?
We make one delivery attempt. If the office is closed or reception refuses it, we'll leave a cashier-style "undelivered" message and call you within the hour. If we can't deliver, you don't pay.
How does the QR code on the card work?
Recipient scans with phone. You receive a notification + photo proof of delivery in your inbox.
Which countries do you deliver to?
Antwerp city in 2026. Brussels and Ghent will follow later this year.
How do I know the cake has been delivered?
Photo proof from the courier in your inbox immediately after delivery, plus the QR scan event if the recipient has scanned it.
The Money Story
Which VAT rate applies?
6%, the Belgian reduced rate for baked goods. We display prices including VAT on the public website. B2B invoices split: 6% on cake, 21% on services or non-food items.
How does the subscription work?
You choose a tier (5, 10, 50, or 100+ cakes per month). On the 1st of each month, we'll send a form: which cakes go where this month? You fill it in once, and we'll ship throughout the entire month. No invoice per cake.
Can I cancel?
All subscriptions are cancellable monthly, no lock-in. You pay monthly in advance, and the next cycle stops as soon as you cancel in your account portal. Annual payment for Tier 01-03 includes one complimentary cake.
Do you offer discounts?
No. Discount codes devalue package-craft. The only flex is paying annually → one pie on the house. No friends-and-family codes, no Black Friday, no loyalty rewards.
What is your refund policy?
100% refund for non-delivery. We do not refund based on whether the prospect has responded; we deliver the pie, they choose whether to respond. That is the agreement.
Is a Cold Cake tax deductible?
Yes. A cake with a logo is an advertising article under Art. 53, 8° ITC 92 (exception for business gifts) — 100% deductible as an advertising expense, VAT 6% recoverable. There is no €50 threshold as with classic gifts, because the logo qualifies the expense as advertising instead of a gift. For your specific situation: consult your accountant.
Can I cancel?
Free up to 48 hours before delivery. After that, you can reschedule or have it picked up. See /pages/money-back for details.
The adult questions
What actually goes into a ColdCake?
Real ingredients from real Antwerp bakeries. Each cake ships with a printed allergen card matching EU Regulation 1169/2011.
Isn't this just a fancy bribery scheme?
Legally, no. ColdCake is a promotional item — same category as branded swag, a conference stand giveaway, or a sponsored lunch, not a personal gift. The sender's logo is on the cake and the card states who sent it and why. Nobody is being deceived.
What about GDPR?
Every cake includes an opt-out message on the card, "Don't want anymore? Reply to remove." At checkout, you confirm that you have a legal basis to send your prospect a package at their work address. We log opt-outs and provide them back to you.
Who is behind ColdCake?
Mytouka Enterprise, registered in Antwerp (BCE 1027149628). One founder. We work with a local Antwerp bakery partner (AFSCA-registered). FASFC registration as an operator: pending. Liability insurance: quotes requested from Belgian insurers.
